I can back this up because since I was little my relatives and friends would compliment me on my looks. I swear some of my cousins hated me as a kid cause apparently I was "prettier" than them. Some days I get random people in coffee shops going "hey you're hot so let me introduce myself." Like cool story bro. No one cares.
If you think you're pretty, you're probably more prone to attract superficial guys and let's say you got married to them one day and your looks disappeared with age. Would he still stay with you? Are you going to freak out and get botox to cover your one wrinkle and then practise an extreme form of dieting because now your metabolism has slowed down with age and you are worried about getting fat? Which by the way can put you at risk for all sorts of eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia that are very serious disorders that may be impossible to get out of once you become dependent on them.
If you prioritize getting ready in the morning and take approximately two hours and do this routine daily, that is fourteen hours a week. I don't know about you but that is a waste of my life. I woud rather be studying or baking a cake or hanging out with friends.
You can't rely on your looks to get you far in life if that is all you focus on. One of the hardest things I ever did was try to go into the modelling industry. Having to put your looks ahead of anything else is exhausting. You have to be very confident to be able to go into a room and have agents tell you which part of your face & body is perfect and which are not. And the financial expenses are ridiculous. I mean really, do you realize how much professional makeup costs at Sephora and M.A.C.? And the price of head shots these days? I could have bought textbooks or like a new pet fish instead.
Being defined by your looks is lame and overrated. You can be the prettiest girl in the world but if you are sort of an airhead or conceded about it, who wants to be around that 24/7?
You are only going to be as pretty as how you feel. No matter how beautiful you or other people may think you are, someone out there will always be prettier than you are.
